Newton, Mass., March 16, 2015 – Axxana today announced that its Phoenix System for Oracle version 1.2 has achieved Oracle Exadata Ready, Oracle Big Data Appliance Ready and Oracle Linux Ready status through Oracle Partner Network (OPN).

Today’s announcement demonstrates that Axxana supports Phoenix System for Oracle version 1.2 with Oracle Exadata Database Machine, Oracle Big Data Appliance and Oracle Linux.

Axxana’s Phoenix System for Oracle can provide a “bullet proof” disaster recovery solution for Oracle environments, regardless of the distance between primary and disaster recovery (DR) data centers. The solution can help ensure that in case of disaster, no transaction data is lost and all applications and databases are recovered with consistency, to the latest state of the business when the disaster hit. Phoenix System aims to achieve the quickest recovery times. The Axxana Phoenix System for Oracle does not require high bandwidth between primary and DR data centers to achieve all of the above benefits and therefore can offer savings on the cost of communication lines between the two data centers.

Oracle Exadata Ready and Oracle Big Data Appliance Ready are part of the Oracle Exastack Ready program which allows partners, such as Axxana, to be recognized by Oracle for developing and supporting their applications on Oracle Exadata Database Machine, Oracle SuperCluster, Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud, Oracle Exalytics In-Memory Machine, Oracle Database Appliance, Oracle Big Data Appliance or Virtual Compute Appliance Engineered Systems.

The Oracle Exadata Database Machine delivers extreme performance and is the ideal database platform for OLTP applications, data warehouses as well as the varied and unpredictable workloads of cloud computing.  It is a complete package of servers, storage, networking, and software that is massively scalable, secure and redundant.

Oracle Big Data Appliance is an engineered system that delivers comprehensive and secure big data capabilities and is integrated, optimized, and tuned to shorten deployment times and reduce cost and risk.

Oracle Linux provides the latest innovations, tools, and features that enable organizations to innovate, collaborate, and create modern data center solutions. Whether in traditional, cloud-based, or virtual environments, Oracle Linux brings innovative technologies and worldwide, enterprise-class, low-cost support to Linux.

The Oracle Exastack Ready program recognizes Axxana as having solutions that leverage the Oracle technology to better support joint customers. Organizations leveraging Oracle Exadata for their Oracle environment use an Asynchronous replication – Max Performance and Max Availability. Axxana’s support of Oracle Exadata can ensure Data Guard replication across vast distances with a “bullet proof” disaster recovery solution, consistency of multiple databases and can support short recovery times by eliminating data reconciliation upon failover.

“We are excited to achieve the important status of Oracle Exadata Ready, Oracle Big Data Appliance Ready and Oracle Linux Ready,” said Eli Efrat, Chief Executive Officer, Axxana. “Organizations can now enjoy the best of both worlds: super fast, robust and cost-effective Engineered Systems from Oracle, coupled with Axxana’s game changing “bullet proof” solution zero data loss, any distance, full consistency and no high-bandwidth lines!”

“When partners such as Axxana leverage Oracle’s Engineered Systems as the foundation for their applications, they benefit from a complete, integrated and cloud-ready infrastructure that can help them drive innovation,” said David Hicks, Vice President, Worldwide ISV and OEM Alliances, Oracle. “We are pleased to see Axxana achieve Oracle Exadata Ready, Oracle Big Data Appliance Ready and Oracle Linux Ready status as this significant milestone helps equip them to deliver superior value to customers.
