The Axxana Phoenix System™ RP for the CLARiiON was developed in cooperation with EMC’s RecoverPoint and delivers a cost effective solution that transforms RecoverPoint’s asynchronous replication into a solution capable of delivering synchronous data protection, over any distance. The Axxana Phoenix System™ RP, in conjunction with EMC’s RecoverPoint, provides 100% disaster recovery with zero data loss (RPO = 0), over any geographical distance; all with significant cost savings over traditional solutions.

The Phoenix System™ RP has been certified to operate with EMC's RecoverPoint in a SAN environment by the EMC E-Lab. The EMC E-Lab conducts the industry's most rigorous interoperability testing, spanning every major platform and operating system.

EMC's RecoverPoint sends data asynchronously to remote sites, while the Phoenix System™ RP protects a synchronous copy of information inside a disaster-proof “black box” device at the primary site. The black box is designed to survive nearly any threat. Following the disaster, the Phoenix System enables rapid extraction of the protected data and transmission to the remote site, where the recovered information is reintegrated by EMC's RecoverPoint, with the asynchronous remote copy yielding an exact mirror image of the data in the primary data center.
